The friction torque limiter transmits preset torque through friction and features an adjustable torque design with spring preloading. When the equipment encounters material jamming, stall or impact load exceeding the preset torque value, the friction surfaces slip automatically to release the overload, stopping overload shock from being transferred to core components such as motors, reducers and main shafts. This prevents severe failures including gear tooth breakage, shaft torsion fracture and housing cracking.
The main body of the product undergoes quenching and tempering heat treatment. Its friction discs boast outstanding wear resistance, strong impact resistance and a long service life. Featuring a compact structure with a small installation footprint, it is easy to assemble, disassemble and adjust torque. The multi-disc friction torque-limiting coupling integrates shaft alignment transmission and torque overload protection. Its stacked multi-layer friction disc structure supports a high rated torque with a wide torque range. Unlike single-disc friction designs, the multi-disc friction pairs bear load evenly for stable torque output and sensitive slip response. It provides continuous cushioning and load relief upon overload without instantaneous rigid impact.
Every unit goes through bench torque testing and calibration before delivery for controllable torque accuracy.
