💡 Why is it recommended to fit a torque limiter on extruders?
A standard coupling only transmits torque and provides no overload protection. When material impurities cause blockage and lock the screw, huge impact torque will be rigidly transferred to the reducer and screw, leading to irreversible damage to core components.
The torque limiter instantly disengages and cuts off power once the torque exceeds the preset value, protecting the reducer, screw and motor. It greatly reduces major overhaul costs and long production downtime.
